Joia Jefferson Nuri specializes in public speaking training, effective message deigns and speech and testimony writing. She is a seasoned communicator who has written keynote addresses, congressional testimony, and seven TEDx Talks, including one for herself. Additionally, during President Obama's administration, Joia planned two Presidential Inaugural Balls and public policy conferences in the US and abroad. Joia began her media work as a TV technician for NBC and CBS. She was the first African American to be Technical Director for the CBS Evening Need and Face The Nation. Then served as senior producer at BET, PBS and NPR affiliates, C-SPAN and syndicated political talk shows. In 2002, Joia formed In The Public Eye Communications. In 2012, Joia delivered the keynote address on race and sports in Vienna, Austria before the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
