Growing up in Sterling, CO Steve would often visit his grandparents in Fort Collins and grew to love the town where his mother was raised. Steve's grandfather, Leslie "Tiny" Johnson, was a carpenter who worked on the Big Thompson Water Project as well as the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital and many of the CSU dormitories. In 1986 Steve moved from Sterling to Fort Collins and has never left. Steve has previously worked in human services managing group homes for adults with developmental disabilities as well as working as an Activities Director for a local assisted living facility. During the time working with senior citizens Steve learned much of the local history from people whose parents were pioneers in the area. This long and in-depth history of the Northern Colorado Front Range gives Steve a unique perspective and ability to serve his clients. After starting his real estate career in 1997, Steve quickly became a leader in the area and has since closed well over 1000 transactions. This level of experience in negotiations gives Mr. Hayes the ability to negotiate the best terms on your behalf and an unmatched level of knowledge in the local market.
