Hewitt Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1983 by Dr. Layne Gregory, working by himself as the single staff member in a small facility on Hewitt Drive in Hewitt, Texas. The practice has progressively evolved over the past three decades into a thriving veterinary hospital that continues to focus on compassionately serving every patient and client with the highest quality medical care. Recently, our longtime Associate Veterinarian, Dr. Kristin Dodson (Baylor Univ. BA 1999 / Texas A&M DVM 2004) became the proud new owner of the practice as Dr. Gregory passes the torch and begins to prepare for retirement sometime in the future.
