We are actively developing programs that offer basic skills training with the aim of providing opportunities for the women and girls in our programs to earn a sustainable income. Women learn how to sew a simple bag out of donated fabric, and girls are able to bead bracelets in traditional Maasai style as a way to pay for their High School fees. We then sell the products on the US market and all net proceeds go directly to the women and girls who created them. Our programs not only train participants in a basic skill, we also provide training in the basics of business management such as cash management, opening/balancing/reconciling a bank account, and record keeping.
