Today, the Commission oversees the operation of the largest water supply operation in State of New Jersey, including more than 95-square-miles of watershed area, two major reservoirs, two river-diversion pumping stations, and a 210-million gallon/day ( MGD ) water filtration plant. At peak capacity, the NJDWSC's facilities can supply over 200-MGD of water to its contracting municipalities, thereby serving the water needs of more than 3 million people in Northern New Jersey.
