Located on Alameda in the middle of the Chinese district of Denver, Empress has an extensive, authentic menu of Chinese seafood dishes, though their lunch and dinner menu does not have the best reputation. The service is a bit slow and if you don't speak Chinese, it can be difficult to order as the dishes do not have English translations. The daily dim sum lunches, however, are sublime. Unlike other dim sum restaurants in the area, Empress has enough seating for everyone. The formal dining atmosphere is soothing, and the carts are wheeled around frequently enough that there is hardly any wait between dishes. Dim sum fans, take heart! -Sabrina Zirakzadeh Less
