The church began in 2004 in the growing new suburbs of the French Valley of Temecula, CA, and is part of The Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) -- a Christ-centered movement focused on deeper Christian living and global missions. Current Lead Pastor, Kerry Bowman, along with his wife, Melissa, and their family arrived in the Temecula Valley during the fall of 2013 having lead a thriving multi-site ministry movement in the Midwest. The Awakening is a healthy, growing body of friends and family who number about 200 people on a given Sunday morning for worship.
