He carted his family throughout Utah and surrounding states trying pizzas from different pizzerias (his kids loved it). He gathered recipes here and there for pizza, spaghetti, salad dressings and garlic bread. After coming up with a product that passed his discriminating taste, all he had to do was to invent a name that would characterize his pizza. He wanted something with zip -- something that rhymed with pizza. He eventually came up with Litzas Pizza. He always thought that a name with a "z" in it sounded solid. Besides, it also sounded Italian. Litzas Pizza has become famous for its pizza made from scratch with fresh dough, sauce blended with an amazing array of spices, rich mozzarella cheese, and fresh toppings of meats and vegetables.
