You learn how to identify, harvest ecologically, and use the dozens of overlooked herbs, greens, shoots, fruits, berries, nuts, seeds, roots, and mushrooms that people often overlook, or try to destroy as "weeds." These renewable resources are incredibly tasty and nutritious, and they protect themselves by regenerating, so we've had large groups collecting the same species in the same spots month after month since 1982, and they still have to send mowers after them when we're gone. I also work with schools, day camps, museums, scout troops, parks departments, environmental centers, teaching farms, CSAs, garden clubs, and others.
