The first Vallarta Supermarket was in a 1,000 sq. ft. market in Van Nuys, CA, with only 5 employees. Since then, Vallarta has grown to 52 stores throughout California and 8,000+ employees. The key to Vallarta's success has been the dedication of our founders to focus on customer service. The grocery stores are a unique experience featuring a "old-world" butcher shop, authentic Mexican restaurant, gorgeous flowers, hot tortillas, fresh pressed juices, and decadent cakes.
