We serve all children from ages 6 weeks to 6 years old full time and part time hours; we also have before and after care for our older children up to 12 years old. Owner Katie Garcia is the head teacher of special education in Union school district, it has been her life dream to have her own day care where all of the children are loved and supported on a daily basis. We believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are dedicated to each and every child, not only to their education but as well as their emotional development and personal safety. Millie's Angels is transitioning into the HighScope curriculum. HighScope is a fairly new curriculum that began research in 1962 under the guidance of psychologist David Weikart and Eugene Beatty in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The HighScope Educational Research Foundation was not implemented until 1970. Under the HighScope curriculum children are believed to learn the most through "active participatory learning".
