Born in New Iberia, Louisiana, Chef Escuriex started his culinary career as a young man, catering parties for friends at duck hunting camps and private dinner parties. His love and passion for food paved a way for a professional career as a chef, first studying at Lafayette Regional in Culinary Arts, then making his way to the famed Culinary Institute of America in New York. Chef Escuriex has won numerous awards in culinary competitions such as American Culinary Federation Baton Rouge Culinary Classics, Lafayette La Culinary Classics, and Louisiana Seafood Challenge in Lafayette, Louisiana Regional Seafood Challenge . He has given cooking demonstrations for the governor's inauguration, and appeared throughout South Louisiana newspapers, the cover of Lifestyles of Acadiana, and Louisiana Conservationist magazines.
