Ferstl, who was also the co-author of the Arkansas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Law, enacted in 1991. The Arkansas Appraisal Foundation has effectively become the "voice" of the various appraisal organizations here in Arkansas and a focal point for unification for all individual appraisers. Arkansas Appraisers Association was founded in 2005 through the efforts of Tom Ferstl who became its first president.
