For over 100 years, dedicated women have spearheaded various educational, social, and civic development projects for the Hilo area: A thrift shop, art events, beautification projects to several public spaces, projects partnered with other Civic groups on various community endeavors, and they established a scholarship program for East Hawaii female (and male) high school students which is still in effect to this day. Membership fees are modest and the return on community service is priceless. The clubhouse also serves the community by offering itself as an event venue. We are the cheapest venue in town because we are a non-profit and can offer our location as a center for celebrations, meetings, fundraisers, and even murder mystery nights!
