We've danced to Pipilotti Rist, flown like fairies listening to Britten's Midsummer, photographed Christo's gates, been part of Albert Maysles documentary, made animations from food, chatted with Thomas Struth, and collaged, painted and glittered our own magical gardens for the ballet Firebird - to name just a very few of the amazing things HiArt! does with kids. And now in our 20th arts-exploding summer, this Best of New York arts program revs up for another fantastic year of art, art and much more art than ever before. This year, Culture Bugs! offers a summer of Magical Manga - super high drawing skill level, watercolor, comics, inking and more - especially designed for kids with some of the city's most talented, experienced resident teaching artists including Zoe Greenbaum, a March 2019 graduate from Kyoto Seika University's Gag Manga Department!
