Nicholas Peterson built this hotel and it served as a stop gap arrangement for salesmen who traveled for their work. Once the roads between Tacoma and Glencove were improved, the traveling time was reduced and the need for a hotel also diminished. The hotel closed down in 1930, later it was re-opened by his descendants and now they have transformed it into a wedding venue and bed & breakfast.
