   MoreGuitar Instruction for Young Learners & Adults ~ I love working with KIDS, showing them their first chords, songs and reading notes. Watching them advance through the levels until they can play and sing confidently. With ADULTS, everyone brings something unique to the table. The key is to accurately assess where people are with their technique and overall understanding of music. Then, with their long-term goals, sketch out the chords, scales and theory needed to get them there. I’ve always felt that my task has been to set students on the right path so that they get to where they want to be with the instrument. Avoiding random lessons that don’t connect to the Big Picture, I focus instead on a structured approach to guitar playing which takes a learner through the 4Ts – Theory Technique Timing & Tone. Essentially an understanding of what to play, how to play it, with what feel, and what you sound like while you’re playing it. And yes, how to escape the pentatonic rut. I’ve been guiding young, and young at heart, guitar players to a place of confidence for years now. I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have, or put you in touch with students or parents for references. I offer In-Person & Remote Learning. I teach from my Acton home studio, but also online when convenient.
