I am certified in New York State and I have my masters in Education and am getting a second masters in Literacy. I have experience working with students with disabilities as I have taught in several ICT (integrated co-teaching) classes. ICT classes are least restrictive environments where general Ed. And special ed students are in a classroom together. With that being said, I have been trained in in cooperative learning, IEP’s and 504’s, as well as modifications and accommodations. I have experience differentiating for both students with disabilities and English Language Learners. I specialize in differentiated instruction and engagement. Building strong and trusting relationships are the backbone for learners and will help them excel. Furthermore, I will determine the level of your child by summarize and formative assessments in order to target my instruction to meet the academic need of your child.
