Puppies are handraised using the Empowered BAB advanced service dog curriculum by Jeanette Forray and start neonatal exercises and massage at 3 days. Puppy curriculum starts at 4 weeks to increase confidence and trust in humans. Temperament testing is used to help families find the dog which is the best match for them. While we specialize in psychiatric service dogs, we place dogs in other service roles, therapy, facility placements as well as pets and emotional support animals. Pocket Full of Sunshine participates in community education and collaboration with other breeders encouraging ethical breeding practices. We were co-organizers of the Northeast Ohio Breeders Conference in 2023. Wellness and nutrition is essential to our program. Our dogs and puppies are fed pawTree food, nutrient dense, no by-products and made in the USA. We provide free wellness evaluations to pet owners as well.
