   MoreMachacha Foods started in 2021 as a home-based business. We are located in Moon Township. We are a husband and wife team. We make and sell unique, gourmet salsas that are much different than the typical red or green tomato based salsas found in most grocery stores. We currently prepare and sell two types of salsas – a mild, fresh tasting cilantro salsa and a rich-flavored salsa called Macha (peanut-pepper) salsa. The Macha salsa comes in two versions - mild and spicy. We use my wife's family recipes from Mexico. These recipes use fresh and dried ingredients to make unique flavor profiles that can be added to many foods or just enjoyed with tortilla chips. Our mild cilantro salsa is made with cilantro, a mild green chili pepper, garlic, olive oil, ginger, and salt. The Macha salsa is a blend of brown chili peppers, olive oil, peanuts, garlic, and salt. We can adjust the ratio of brown pepper types to make the Macha in mild or spicy. We are currently working on a third salsa recipe which would be sweeter and based on carrots. In 2023, we have expanded from our home kitchen and are working with/teaching a co-packer to make our salsas so that we supplement our kitchen production. We have been selling at Farmers Markets and community events since 2021. Our primary farmers markets are Bellevue (Weds, 3-7 PM) and Oakmont (Sat, 9 AM - 1 PM).
