She started her fitness journey in Jan 2019 with a goal of losing weight to control her high cholesterol, sugar levels and high blood pressure. She needed to get healthy to be there for her daughters after losing their dad (Carmela’s husband) to congestive heart failure and other health complications from Type 2 diabetes. With that motivation in mind, she surpassed all her fitness goals within 9 months and fell in love with fitness. In 2021 she got her certification as a personal trainer through ISSA so she can continue to inspire and help others take control of their health and be the best version of themselves. Fitness has saved her life in more ways than one. At 45 years old, she is healthier, fitter and stronger than ever before. Her mission is to help others train safely, with better form, develop a healthy relationship with food and make this a lifestyle, not just for that special occasion, vacation or dress.
