At JBW Farm Fresh, we value our livestock and strive to give them the highest standard of care, we believe our most important task is the good stewardship of the pastures, forests and streams where we graze our animals and live. We understand that our livelihood depends on the health and resilience of the land where we graze our herds. Our beef is grain-free and hormone-free from conception to consumption. We believe cattle health and soil health go hand in hand. We graze our animals in a fashion that mimics the natural grazing behaviors and naturally breaks the life cycles of parasites. With the grass-fed consumer in mind, our beef is raised and finished on pasture with some hay, during drought periods and extreme cold. Grass-finished beef is leaner, with substantially lower levels of both total and saturated fat, and has a more balanced ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acids. It also contains higher levels of beta-carotene, B-Vitamins, and essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium… and it tastes delicious!
