Dr. Levine and Dr. Stern both graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Levine in 1990 he did a 2 year preceptorship at Penn Podiatry and has been in private practice since 1992. Dr. Stern did a 5 year preceptorship at Penn Podiatry and went into private practice in 1992. Services Overview One of the most common misconceptions about podiatry is that we only cut nails and callouses. To become a podiatrist, one must go through 4 years of undergraduate school, 4 years of podiatry school and then postgraduate training from 1-3 years. We are trained as doctors of the feet. We can treat soft tissue and bone up to the ankle and soft tissue up to the knee. Some of the most common issues we treat are; 1) bunions 2) hammer toes 3) diabetes 4) hypertension 5) gout 6) shin splints 7) plantar fasciitis 8) heel spurs 9) ankle sprains 10) painful corns and callouses 11) fungal infections of the skin and nails 12) excessive perspiration 13) warts What most people do not understand about the feet is that they are the foundation of the body.
