Named the "Best Ethnic Restaurant 2003" by Ingram's Magazine, the Blue Koi has pleased patrons with innovative dishes such as Ants on a Tree, a colorful dish of cellophane noodles tossed with delicately spiced ground pork and bits of cabbage and chopped carrots or a variety of plump Northern Chinese dumplings. A Blue Koi trademark is their many-flavored Bubble Tea, a unique blend of ice, nondairy milk, tea and tapioca pearls which the restaurant first introduced to Kansas City.
