Owner, Ray Wicker Jr. is a fourth generation waterman who has been working the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries for over 30 years. The Wicker family tradition goes back to John Wicker Sr. as far back as the 1940's. Roy Wicker opened the Blue Channel Crab House in the 1950's. In 1969 Ray Wicker Sr. opened Wicker's Crab and Seafood in Portsmouth. We sold crabs and hand picked crab meat to customers in Baltimore, Washington D.C., and all of the Tidewater area. Wicker's Crab and Seafood allowed our family to carry on the Wicker family legacy for another 30 years. Wicker's Crab Pot Seafood open in March 2008 and continued the family tradition. Our heritage has been our way of life for over 60 years and we are proud to be sharing our family tradition with each guest who dines at Wicker's Crab Pot Seafood. Less
