The question home owners should be asking the technician is how many times can you saturate the leather with chemicals necessary to do the work before the leather sustains damage, making it dry and stiff. The answer in my opinion is once in a period of about 6 or 7 years. So this is the deal I'm offering to my customers. Free museum grade leather conditioning with every home furnishings dye service where I strip the dye before I apply new dye. If I work some panels on your home furnishings, I'll apply a regular leather conditioner to the panels that don't get work done on that piece. The caveat is that the leather needs at least 4 days to soak in the oils to prevent adhesion problems. I've done this several times and have had good results.
