Dr. Gennuso completed her Bachelor of Science degree at City University of New York's School of Biomedicine in New York, New York. She completed her medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, New York. After a residency in neurosurgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, New York, Dr. Gennuso completed her fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery in Canada at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. She returned to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City to become an assistant professor of neurosurgery and was also Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Neuroscience Institute at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.
