We strive to do this with an emphasis on compassion, and on recognizing and honoring the deep bond that exists between our clients and their companion animals. South Federal Animal Hospital has been in the same location since 1969. Our founder, Dr. Joe Kashner who is now retired, entrusted his legacy to his long time partner of 26 years, Dr. Al Meilan, back in 2002. In January 2015, Dr. Meilan handed the torch over to Dr. Robin Stelljes, who has been with the practice for the past 11 years, as Medical Director to carry on the culture and mission of the hospital.
