   MoreHere at Aquatic Thrills we train all levels of swimmers and all ages. Training starts with children of 18 months and older. We focus on teaching them to do what is known as a "Survival Float". It's extremely important for all swimmers to be able to float on the water when tired so they can conserve energy and be safe. The next step is to teach the student the 4 swimming strokes, starting with freestyle and backstroke. Some children will want to learn more and become competitive swimmers. For these children we encourage the parents to start them on a swim team but continue to take private lessons to keep improving on their technique. Most swim teams are unable to teach technique because the student needs one on one instruction and teams don't have the time or manpower to give this kind of training. Over the years we have trained many competitive swimmers of all ages and skill levels from beginner age group to elite college level swimmers. Some are able to obtain swimming scholarships to pay for their college. Some are able to get their olympic trial cuts and try out for the olympic team. Whatever the age or skill level of the student, we can help them to achieve their goals. Less
