She then completed a 3-year Family Medicine specialty training in Renton, Washington with hope of settling in a rural community in the Pacific Northwest. She has been practicing in Astoria since 1997, and enjoys interacting with the whole family, from babies to grandparents. Angela Stock Nairn, M.D., AAFP is a Board Certified Family Physician. She completed her B.S. degree at Oregon State University, and her medical degree at Oregon Health Science University. She completed her 3-year Family Medicine residency program in Chicago, Illinois, and then returned to the Pacific Northwest. She has been practicing in Astoria since 2000, and she and Dr. Merrill have been in private practice together since 2001. By being Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Practitioners means that both doctors Merrill and Nairn have completed 3 years of supervised medical training beyond medical school.
