In 1989, Hobbs Jewelers opened its second store in Athens, Alabama. During this time, their father, Ed Hobbs, and their sister, Teresa Russell, joined the business. From 1989-1999, both stores served the North Alabama area. Then, in 1999, a decision was made to combine the two stores into one large store. The Athens store continued to be managed by Steve Hobbs, and in 2002, Hobbs Jewelers moved to its new location, a spacious 3500sq ft free standing brick store. Hobbs Jewelers is known through out North Alabama for their quality, value, and service. In fact, Hobbs Jewelers has the largest bridal selection in North Alabama.
