The Two Men and a Truck location in West Palm Beach is quick with quote response times. We received a quote two hours after requesting one through the company's easy-to-use online form. Before sending the final quote over email, Two Men and a Truck representative Carla Thomas reached out by phone to clarify some things before finalizing the total.

Two Men and a Truck charges by the hour and requires a 20% deposit at booking. The base labor rate is $230 per hour for three men and a 26-foot truck for moves between Monday and Wednesday. The company charges a higher rate of $250 per hour on "weekends," which it defines as Thursday through Saturday.

Our quote included a local move for a three-bedroom house, without packing services, which was estimated to take eight-and-a-half hours from start to finish for a total of $2,125 in labor and travel time. If you require packing services, that will add additional time at the hourly rate. For this particular move, Two Men and a Truck estimated packing would add between $1,400 and $1,650.

"Total travel time starts from our warehouse," Thomas told us. "If the move is completed in less time than the estimate you are only billed for the actual time used."

Two Men and a Truck offers climate-controlled storage, but its warehouse is currently closed for renovations. Smith says that the company works with other local storage companies that can offer a discount if you need storage during your move.

The company prefers at least three to four days' notice between booking and the move date. Smith says the first of the month is usually the company's busiest time, however, so additional time may be required for moves early in the month. If you need packing services, those are usually scheduled for the day before your move.
